ABSTRACT
Once a bridge has been inspected for its overall visual condition, it is often
necessary to carry out non-destructive tests to further extend the diagnostic
process if it is suspected that the bridge has been weakened in some way.
Non-destructive in this context means that the structure is not destroyed
though parts of it may be broken away for testing or inspection.
