ABSTRACT
In the absence of some form of calibration or trimming, the precision of the Nyquist rate converters described Chapter 7 is strictly dependent on the precision of the VLSI components that comprise the converter circuits. Oversampled data converters are a means of exchanging the speed and data processing capability of modern sub-micron integrated circuits for precision that would otherwise not be readily attainable.
