References Cidofovir is a nucleotide analog that has activity against several DNA viruses including human papillomavirus (HPV).1 Although only recently introduced, several reports have shown promising results for the treatment of HPV infections with both intralesional and topical cidofovir. However, randomized, placebo-controlled studies are needed to determine the exact role of cidofovir in the treatment of warts.
