ABSTRACT
One of the most important groups in a pharmaceutical company is the department of Drug Regulatory Affairs (DRA). Its personnel are largely responsible for establishing a liaison with their counterparts at the U.S. FDA. This chapter will describe the activities of the FDA, emphasizing the center responsible for the review and approval of INDs and NDAs, namely the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
