ABSTRACT
Nevertheless, in patients who remain symptomatic despite maximal medical therapy, angioplasty can be considered for certain non-atherosclerotic conditions. The success rate will likely be lower for inflammatory vascular disorders. Conversely, the success rate is likely to be higher in experienced centers and, therefore, referral of patients to tertiary centers for angioplasty of vasculopathies is recommended.
