ABSTRACT
Any discussion of treatment modalities for prostate cancer includes a dissertation on what the patient might expect to experience after treatment. Most patients diagnosed with prostate cancer have localized disease and are candidates for several different treatments. In addition, prostate cancer has a long natural history, and is being diagnosed in earlier stages, and so most patients are expected to live with the effects of their treatment for many years.
