ABSTRACT

On the basis of a crack existing in the concrete substrate, the crack bridging specimens illustrated in Figure 1 were manufactured to determine the crack distribution in the reinforced repair mortar. In order to increase the free elongation length of the repair layer, a load transmission between the old concrete and the sprayed mortar was prevented in the crack area by means of a 10 cm wide separating strip made of adhesive tape. During the test, the crack opening in the concrete specimen was continuously measured on both sides by inductive displacement transducers.
