ABSTRACT
Group (TG 8.10) on performance specifications for concrete was established in January 2011. Further, a number of RILEM Technical Committees has in the past dealt with performance evaluation of concrete and the currently active RILEM TC 230 PSC is dealing with the specific focus on performance based specifications and quality control of reinforced concrete structures and is drawing up a state-of-the-art report on the topic. These efforts (and others not mentioned here) can be expected to change the concrete industry in the next years and decades, hopefully resulting in design and construction of more durable structures.
