ABSTRACT
Diseases can be defined as any modification of the normal anatomy or function of an organism. The particular disease is characterized by its causes, mechanisms and symptoms. During the progress of the disease, the host’s defence mechanisms are overcome, at least temporarily, by the action of a pathogenic factor. This is likely to be associated with particular environmental conditions.
