ABSTRACT

Arrhythmias are rhythms of the heart arising outside the normal

conductive pathways or within them, but at an abnormal rate and

with an abnormal ECG pattern. They are conventionally divided into

two categories:

1) supraventricular arrhythmias, which originate from the atria or the

AV node complex (junctional);

2) ventricular arrhythmias, which arise below the AV junction.
