ABSTRACT

Description: MabThera (Rituxan in the U.S.) is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that binds to CD20, a transmembrane protein located on the surface of B lymphocytes. It is produced by recombinant DNA technology in mammalian cell culture. The glycosylated product consists of two 451-amino acid heavy chains and two 213amino acid light chains and displays a molecular weight of 145 kDa. It is supplied as a 10-mg/ml concentrated solution for intravenous infusion.
