ABSTRACT
Description: Natrecor is a recombinant form of human B-type natriuretic peptide (hBNP), a 32-amino acid, 3.464-kDa peptide produced naturally by the ventricular myocardium. Natrecor displays an identical amino acid sequence to the native molecule. The peptide pro motes the dilation of veins and arteries and is used to alleviate shortness of breath associated with congestive heart failure. Natrecor is presented as a lyophilized powder in single-use vials, each containing 1.5 mg active ingredient.
