These mated female rats are considered to be on pregnancy day 1 (PD1). Mated rats are numbered and assigned to experimental groups sequentially.
5. The test sample is dissolved in small volumes of ethyl alcohol (final concentration less than 10% in volume) and then diluted with 20% Tween-80 in water. Pure compounds can be dissolved in benzyl benzoate, and then diluted with 4 volumes of olive oil.
