ABSTRACT
Light tables are used to illuminate positive transparencies, a common format of airphotos or space imagery. When used to backlight paper or duratrans prints, it is
easier to see detail otherwise hidden in dark areas of the image, and colors also appear more vibrant. Backlighting also minimizes eye fatigue.
