ABSTRACT
Doctors spend about a third of their professional career as trainees. Once appointed a consultant, most will remain in one hospital for the rest of their career, so it is important to find a job that is enjoyable and challenging. The factors that must be considered when selecting consultant jobs were discussed in Chapter 1.
