ABSTRACT
Trashracks are primarily installed at turbine intakes or the tailrace of pumped storage power plants, and are designed to keep large floating and submerged debris from entering the hydraulic circuit and causing damage or operational problems to the main equipment. Trashracks must deal with a variety of debris, including aquatic weeds, driftwood, and ice.
