ABSTRACT
Chlamydia trachomatis causes several diseases including trachoma (scarring conjunctivitis and a common cause of blindness-not covered in this book) and lymphogranuloma venereum (see page 141). However most people associate the organism with genital chlamydia infection or just plain ‘chlamydia’, and this final disease is what will be covered in this section.
