ABSTRACT
Skin grafts are a valuable option for closing defects that cannot be closed primarily. Blair and Brown first reported their clinical use of split-skin grafting in 1929 (1). Many believe their work represents the landmark plastic surgery achievement. It is projected that skin grafting will stand as last century’s most important reconstructive surgical innovation (2).
