ABSTRACT

Split-thickness skin grafts are the most used grafts in the practice of plastic surgery and dermatology. Their thickness ranges from 0.010 to 0.016 inches. Since dermis is left behind, however, the donor site usually heals through epithilialization (1). There are multiple acceptable methods for donor site dressings, but management of the split-thickness donor site usually involves intense would care and pain control (2-6).
