ABSTRACT
Recent modifications of mattress suturing techniques have been reported producing rapid and effective skin eversion and excellent tensile strength while producing cosmetically esthetic results. Such closure should in addition minimize postoperative complications, whereas at the same time be performed easily and efficiently. A summary of optimal goals of elliptical wound closure is summarized in Table 1.
