ABSTRACT

The primary goal of the clinical development of pharmacological therapeutics is to provide useful agents for clinical practice. As such, sufficient evidence must demonstrate that the efficacy and safety observations characterize a therapeutic window that improves the care of patients. Drug development follows regulations and guidelines in order for authorities to provide an independent review of data on a drug’s efficacy and safety and to adequately convey the findings of drug development trials in prescribing information.
