ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The bridge management system (BMS) development work in Finland has given a good response, the BMS being a tool for optimal maintenance planning. It includes bridge age behavior modelling and both the network level and project level management systems. The quality improving methods of the inspection system and reliable project level management system have helped to almost double the money used for bridge MR&R in ten years.
