ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Flooding of buildings has become an increasingly important issue in Europe in recent years. This is driven in part by the impact of climate change, but also by the realisation that development in flood planes have increased and can be at risk if flood defences fail. In the urban environment issues of flash flooding from heavy intensity rainfall and sewer flooding add to the major risks from river and coastal flooding.
