ABSTRACT
Freshwater supplies represent a very small percentage of available water throughout the world. Depending on the geographical location, water resources may be more or less plentiful, but availability is not always directly related to the wise use of the resource. Despite the many cultural, political, and economic differences that exist among countries in diverse regions of the world, a unifying theme for all locales is the need for freshwater to subsist and prosper.
