ABSTRACT

The development of building construction sector through time along with the evolution of society and the development of new technologies, led to a higher quality demand of the services available in the market. Frequent reconfigurations in the scene reshape the needs of both normative nature and actors involved, regardless of positions (workers, users, constructors, suppliers and designers). In this context, the Brazilian Performance Standard ABNT NBR 15575/2013 was created in order to promote a systemic vision of residential buildings, setting comfort and safety standard requirements to grant desirable levels of performance for buildings. The standard acts in order to create accountability among actors inserted in the lifespan of the building, from the design concept to the final details, and privilege the wellbeing and needs of final users.
