ABSTRACT
In this study, the performance of MTMD for suppressing wind-excitations of a tall building under along wind load is investigated. Fluctuating along-wind load was simulated numerically using the along-wind load spectra proposed by Solari (1993). Simulation procedure used in this study is taken from Shinozuka (1987). And using this simulated along-wind load, estimated alongwind responses of a tall building with MTMD/ TMD and found out the effectiveness of MTMD compared to a single TMD for suppressing alongwind excitation of a tall building.
