ABSTRACT

Evacuation seems to be the best and the only option for the human to deal with tsunami hazas research work, a set of predictive models are developed and tested for use in a comprehensive framew reparing for the evacuation. The models are set to provide an estimation of the tsunami arrival time, confirmation of the event, and prediction of the possible impact of the waves that are washing ashore. The models are integrated as a single unit which functions in priority of urgency. Validation of previous tsunami data shows that the framework would be able to fulfill the need in tsunami warning and evacuation plan with timely and accurate information. Evacuation seems to be the best and the only option for the human to deal with tsunami hazards. The differences between the results depend on the nearshore slope and, more primarily, on how close to the shore the tsunami has occurred.
