ABSTRACT
This work is dedicated to description of modified binarization algorithm of rock color photographs with the purpose of object selection that are different in size, minerals fraction, represented on inhomogeneous background for further possibility of automatization and grain size analysis of their content. Results of experimental research of proposed algorithm possibilities that prove the increase of binarization authenticity and minerals fraction contour selection in comparison with initial method are represented.
