ABSTRACT

Compared with AMT, DCT not only has the same advantage of simple structure and high transmission eciency, but also overcome the disadvantage of the interruption in shifting phrase. It can also share the same riding comfort as AT by the coordinated control of the engine and DCT. The essence of DCT starting control is the optimal control of the automatic engagement of the dual clutch. Besides the application of the traditional starting control strategy, both of the two clutches are equally driven in starting phrase. Thus the advantage of the structure of DCT is highlighted, what’s more, the heat generated in the engagement would be dispersed and the wearing of the single clutch will also be reduced, which can prolong the lifespan of it.
