ABSTRACT

The term knowledge migration comes from psychology. Cognitive psychology calls influence that the gained knowledge and the obtained movement skill, emotion and attitude on subsequent learning activities and follow-up one each other as learning transfer, and it also calls knowledge migration.[2] In fact, knowledge gained either promote or hinder learning. Positive transfer results in correct performance while negative transfer results in mistake.[3] Xiao-xia Zhang in the article self and knowledge transfer pointed out that learning transfer is the ability to apply the knowledge to new situations and to solve new problems embodied, including the new context awareness, the link of old knowledge and the new one as well as recognition and solution.[4] Positive transfer enhances the body’s learning abilities. In this paper, the author takes the positive transfer as the main study object. Knowledge Migration is defined as a process in that the body of knowledge gains something, including recognition, experience and skills in order to deal with new problems. The promotion of transfer helps the body of knowledge to have an efficient learning. According to the common elements of knowledge transfer theory, generalization theory, situational theory and cognitive structure theory, the author conclude the way to improve knowledge migration mainly in the following four aspects. First,

master the basic concepts and principles in the learning process then construct meta-cognitive knowledge from internal and find the same elements in objective knowledge, avoid rote. Second, accurately grasp the similarities and differences by comparison and analysis. Third, create the same problem situation. The theory of situated cognition holds that learning cannot be separated from the situation, so the creation of the problem situation is conducive to the realization of the positive transfer. [5] Fourth, construct knowledge based on the existing knowledge and experience, psychological structure and beliefs, promote interaction between old and new knowledge. Above these, it can help us to perfect our cognitive structure and be systematic, comprehensive and holistic.
