ABSTRACT

The biggest characteristic of the ATV which can easily go through the swamp, snow, mountains, streams, ponds and other harsh terrain is to have low ground pressure and strong trac ability which also makes the probability of engine failure greatly increased [1]. At the same time, in the process of the ATV engine operation, the operation condition and performance parameters are changing. During that time, it is neither completely “intact”, nor entirely “failure”, but in a vague state, so is the sign shown. So, the problem of fault diagnosis for ATV engine only depend on qualitative decision can not be solved accurately and quickly, it is necessary to carry out the fault diagnosis by using fuzzy diagnosis technology.
