ABSTRACT

Target stimulus is recognized faster when a semantically congruent prime stimulus is presented before, which is named the semantic priming eect [1]. Moreover, many Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) studies have found that the incongruent target induces a larger N400 component (a negative wave evoked around 400ms after target stimulus onset) than the congruent target, which is named N400 eect, suggesting that it reflects the semantic processing [2].
