ABSTRACT

At the chair «Proceeding of metals by pressure» of Karaganda state industrial university developed a number of forging tools allowing to intensify the alternating deformation in the whole volume of the deformed billet. These tools include step dies [2], trapezoidal and locking dies [3-7], dies with elastic elements [8, 9]. All if these tools underwent successful pilot testing at JSC «ArselorMittal Temirtau». The latest development of Karaganda state industrial University scientists are step-wedge dies (Fig. 1). In paper [10] proved, that using step-wedge dies for forging slabs and plates allows to implement conducive strain-stress state for production of metal with a fine grain structure.
