ABSTRACT
Forests are important natural resources for the survival of mankind, which is the important environment for a lot of rare animals and plants. So, how much area and the security of the forest is an important factor in aecting the ecological balance of nature. There are two reasons for forest fires, one is vandalism, and another is spontaneous combustion. A Chinese vast territory, a large gap between the north and south climate, complex and varied terrain, the larger the dierence between the type and characteristics of the forest, all these factors cause the complex characteristics in preventing forest fires. In the event of forest fires, which will imperil life and property as well as cause serious damage to the ecological balance. Now, the main way is workers patrol for preventing forest fire. Because of much area in forest, complex terrain, poor visibility and limited factor monitoring of workers, timely and accurate discovering and locating the source of fire is the core of the problem.
