The issue of accountability in terms of disclosures and timeliness of annual report

Accountability is an emerging issue arises especially when dealing with public money as it is the fundamental prerequisite for preventing the abuse of power and directed towards the achievement of efficiency, effectiveness, openness, responsiveness and transparency. As cited in Mohd Nor (2013), Dubnick stated that accountability means the obligation to answer for the execution of assigned responsibilities.
