ABSTRACT

The aim of gait is to repeat lower limb motion to move the body forward while maintaining stability. To move the body forward, one lower limb provides support and the other swings forward. This lower limb movement is preceded by their role change, and the repetition cycle in one lower limb is a gait cycle (Perry et al. 2010). The section of the gait cycle supporting the body is the stance phase. The stance phase is divided into two sections: HS (heel strike) where the heel starts touching the ground and TO (toe off) where the big toe starts to detach from the ground. The swing phase is the section from TO to HS.
