ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The expert study is dedicated to a certain epoch in the life of a remarkable personality in the post-war journalism and literature. It looks into positions of Ladislav Mňačko in the historical breaking year of 1968, especially after Warsaw Pact army intervention in Czechoslovakia. The infamous date, which entered history as stymied hopes for society democratization, followed by difficult times of normalization, which changed the destinies of many people. One of them was the renowned journalist rebel and controversial writer Ladislav Mňačko, who in protest emigrated to Austria-a country behind the iron courtain, which became his second home for twenty years.
