ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a 3GPP standard for high-speed low-latency mobile communication based on OFDM technology. LTE-A (LTE Advanced) is an enhanced version of the LTE. Although security is an integral part of both standards, it is mainly focused on preventing eavesdropping. Several vulnerabilities have been found in LTE standard, that allow performing DoS attacks to make regular communication impossible. In this paper, we analyze weaknesses of LTE as well as LTE-A and perform computer simulations to quantify the influence of an intelligent interferer on the quality of communication.
