ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Information visualization is a broad research area with ongoing progress especially in the context of software development and analysis. In recent years many interesting visualization approaches have appeared, but only a few techniques were used in practical applications for software analysis or development. Advanced software visualization is gaining support slowly, but it has already become a part of common software development process. Although there has been rapid progress in this field, many open problems still exist. Technical advances allow us to collect and to process vast amounts of data, but these cause significant issues of scalability in visualization and interaction techniques that have already been addressed. In this paper we present recent trends in context of our software visualization projects that utilize graph representations and various source code visualization techniques.
