ABSTRACT

Therefore, an electro-hydraulic servo-controlled true triaxial experimental system was designed to study the rock strength characteristics under certain loading and unloading stress paths in this paper. It can simulate the stress change in surrounding rock mass when excavation carries out in deep mining engineering. In this study, granite and red sandstone cubic specimens (100 mm × 100 mm × 100 mm) were used to test under one directional unloading while with the other biaxial loading. The strength characteristics of granite and red sandstone cubic specimens were studied.
