ABSTRACT

Although the products above can govern a certain problem in the grid, but there is no one can solve most of the problems affecting the power quality in the grid. In this paper, a device named SCF (Static Compensate Filter) will be proposed that focus on governing power quality problems in the grid (Wang et al. 2011) (Sun 2012). It sets a fixed capacitor grading reactive power compensation (Zhang 2009), static synchronous compensation; harmonic compensation (Yang 2006) and three-phase unbalance compensation in one. It can dynamically continuous regulate reactive power

1 INTRODUCTION

Accompanied by power system continuous development, serious problem like the increase of harmonic sources, the lack of reactive power, serious three-phase unbalanced in the system endanger the safe and stable operation of the system. Harmonics cause the waveform distortion, electrical installations overheating, burning, misoperation and communication interference. The power factor drops will cause the increase of loss and voltage fluctuations in system. Power quality problems have drawn increasing attention of the majority of electricity practitioners.
