ABSTRACT

The aircraft system is a typical a Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) system. According to the characteristics, a new thinking and method of controlling γ is provided in this paper. A controller is designed via MIMO sliding mode theory to realize the precise control of γ. Simulation validates that the controller could make the variable quantity of flightpath angle (Δγ) follow the change of the variable quantity of pitch angle (Δθ) very good and the improved longitudinal flight control system has better robustness and no high frequency chattering phenomenon.
