By ranking the original data, rank sum test is the poorest method of statistical inference, because the statistical calculation uses the ranked data rather than the origin data; and which causes a lot of information loss. Actually, rank sum test is only a reluctantly candidate method used in statistical analysis (Table 1) (Jiqian, 2008; D. Lord and F. Mannering, 2010).
