ABSTRACT

Based on the location of rotor in the motor, permanent magnet brushless DC hub motor can be divided into outer rotor, inner rotor and disc type. As for its rotor structure, magnetic pole is constructed by magnetic steel amounted on the yoke of rotor, air-gap magnetic field is generally square wave or trapezoidal wave. For stator structure, its three-phase wings are distributed evenly with an electrical angle of 120 degrees. We choose threephase outer rotor permanent magnet brushless DC motor as In-wheel motor, which consists of motor, position sensor and controller.
