ABSTRACT

The College English Curriculum Teaching Require­ ments, which was issued by China’s Ministry of Education in 2007, further clarified the teaching target, and put forward to apply the multimedia technology, multimodal languages and multimodal discourse analysis theory and multivariate reading and writing teaching methods in English teaching. The necessity of applying the pedagogy of multimodal language comprehensive skills into college English teaching can be seen. In recent years, the information technology in China has obtained a rapid development, and along with the development of economic globalization and the penetration of cultural diversity, information transfer has gradually begun to present the multimodal development.
