ABSTRACT

Ship hull manufacturing includes certain processes from steel pre-processing to block assembling. Under the external physical and chemical function of the process, the initial materials changed a lot. For example, the stresses generate at the edges of steel plate for thermal cutting process, the plastic

certain importance on the ship quality. The residual stresses and plastic strains in steel affect its strength, and the deformations make it difficult to guarantee ship accuracy. What’s more, the affects produced by former process may influence the implement of the subsequent process. At the end of the manufacturing, the affects left in the ship hull are aroused by all the processes but a single one. Thus, to control and guarantee ship hull quality, approaches that can present the stresses, strains, deformations and even microstructures are needed. With the exposing of those affects, quality tasks are targeted.
