In actual sea, an anchor is not necessarily used in these ideal conditions. From these facts, it is thought that there is a problem in the experiment method and an evaluation method.

The final target of this research is to develop a higher performance anchor. For that reason, it is necessary to establish the new experiment method and a new evaluation method. Then, the anchor water tank experiment was carried out. The candidates for an experiment are JIS type, AC-14 type and DA-1 type anchors. In this experiment, the pulling experiment by the installation state of various anchors was conducted, such as the horizontal pulling experiment, the switch back experiment, the switch back fluke stuck experiment and the inverted experiment. The experiment in consideration of various installation states of the anchor is not conducted by preceding studies. It is thought that the performance of a more detailed anchor can be evaluated by conducting these experiments. As a result, the new anchor evaluation method for new higher performance anchor development was created.
