ABSTRACT

China is a big country, which consumes large amount of coal every year and whose development strongly depends on coal. In the energy structure, coal is in a dominated position and takes up more than 70%, and about 95% of it belongs to underground mining (Li 1998). However, the exploitation of coal resources has also led to a large number of mining subsidence area arise. According to the surveying of China National Coal Association, by 2010, there was more than 800,000 hectares of China land damaged by mining subsidence, which caused the nature environment of mine serious damaged (Pu 2012). On the other hand, along with the advance of China’s industrialization and urbanization, we need more and more construction land, which bring giant pressures on farmland protection. Moreover, with the development of economy and the improvement of people living standards, we need more and more ecological and recreational land. So, it’s necessary for us to execute land reclamation in mining subsidence area, which can help us do well in coordinating the relationship between economic construction and social sustainable development (Wei 2012).
