ABSTRACT
The soil erosion in Haihe River Basin has the properties of various erosion types and widespread distribution. Water erosion is defined as the main erosion type in above study area, next are wind erosion, gravity erosion and mixed erosion. Water erosion includes surface erosion, linear erosion, gravity erosion and mixed erosion. Surface erosion is mainly distributed in sloping farmland of earth-rocky mountainous area as well as abandoned farmland and overgrazing slopes
1 INTRODUCTION
Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources of PR China puts forward several new advanced proposals about soil and water conservation. These mainly include the following five points: (1) continuous completing scientific conception about soil erosion preventing and controlling, (2) insisting prevention measures of artificial control and natural recovery simultaneously, (3) making overall plans of small watershed management of hills, waters, farmlands, forests and roads, (4) giving consideration to both the improvement of ecological environment and requirements of resource conservertion, (5) playing the comprehensive prevention model for soil and water loss by organic combination of precaution, protection, supervision, management and ecological restoration.
