ABSTRACT
Words are the basis of learning English. If we know a lot of words, our English ability will improve. In vocabulary teaching, teachers should introduce the affixes in the new words and the relevant words which students have already known together. In this way, students could understand the meaning of each part of the new word. From the words they’ve already known, they will find it easier to memorize the new words. In this way, teachers could also introduce some new words which have the same affixes with that one. Students would find it interesting to memorize the similar words in group. It is efficient to memorize words in this way.
